2009 SDCC SKETCHBOOK

THE 2009 SAN DIEGO COMIC-COM SKETCHBOOK: A very pleasant departure from the previous year's sketchbook. This one has variety from cover to cover. Besides the Avengers/Invaders and Project Superpowers sketches, Alex includes some fairly recent endeavors such as his Green Hornet designs as well as the Human Torch and his villains. The cover is such an iconic representation of the Hulk done in the Jack Kirby style. This is not just a bunch of unused concept sketches thrown together, there's a lot of thought and effort put into it. It's way superior than his previous efforts. Congratulations to Alex and his team.

NEWS: CHICAGO COMIC-CON EXCLUSIVE

The Oz/Wonderland Chronicles is an independent comic book mini-series, published by Buy Me Toys.com.
It follows the adventures of Alice (from Alice in Wonderland) and Dorothy (from the Wizard of Oz) as college students who have forgotten their childhood journeys, but the magical lands they visited haven't quite forgotten them.
Issue #4 is going to sport covers by Joe Jusko and Alex Ross and this preview was available exclusively at Wizard's Chicago Comic-Con last weekend, it features only a detail of the real cover, I'll keep you informed about this book and when it comes out and of course, I'll post the full image as soon as it becomes available.

VIDEO: SPIDER-MAN 2 MOVIE ART [UPDATED]

I should've called this post "Alex Ross art you just can't have" because this is some art that only exists in the intro for the Spider-Man 2 movie. So unless you actually own the originals, you can only see this art on a TV or computer screen and it flashes by so fast that I made this video where I slow it down so you can appreciate it better. Enjoy!

Aw right! here are the images so you can ogle at this amazing art too. Thanks to our friend Clem Clambake for the extra images I was missing. Enjoy, again...
