These statues were designed by Alex, yet not sculpted by him, they were done by Tony Cipriano. They were suppossed to be more of these but they only made these 2 and then discontinued the line. There's no reason for the specific grouping of characters in each bust except for their color schemes, I guess. They do not come with an original Alex Ross design, either.They are a lot smaller than the previous ones, these measure around 6 inches (15 cm) tall and each came with 3 characters just posing for a photo shoot, because there isn't much action in them. Well, they aren't "action" figures to begin with.
On the left, we have the Superman/Hawkman/Red Robin combo which was limited to 1100 statues. Superman looks like a mix of the silver statue and the KC action figure, Hawkman looks much more badass in the action figure than here and Robin looks IDENTICAL to the action figure, a mixed bag altogether.
On the right, there's the Green Lantern/Spectre/Norman McCay statue, which is way more limited than the previous one, only 700 statues were made. Again the figures look too much like their action figure counterparts, my guess is that it's the same sculptor, I'll look into it.
These statues are NOT IN MY COLLECTION yet so I'll reserve any further comments on them when I've actually seen them up close.
